Online poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several types on the earliest poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the house rather than each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players receive five cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to in turn make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Giving Up means that your ante goes instantaneously to the bank. After the wager is the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with a figure equal to the initial wager. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The casino pays chips equal to your wager and fixed odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card

  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
