Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years numerous variants on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the dealer declares "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different players receive five cards. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is on same level to your original ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager is the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, with a sum on par with the initial wager. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pays money even with your wager and controlled expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
