Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the wild west in a wonderful game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the casino, not like almost all other poker games that players wager with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginner players do not need to worry about any other, more advanced people winning their mulla.

An additional Pai Gow advantage is the fairly leisurely game pace, rookies should be able to take their time and strategize while not having to make quick choices.

It’s also easier to bet on for a very long time with just a small bit of money since, to lose, both of your hands has to be under both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the house is given 7 cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and one two card hand need to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
